Cohete chino pone en órbita satélite de teledetección pakistaní

El 2 de octubre de 2025, la República Popular China lanzó un cohete portador Lijian-1 Y8 desde el Centro de Lanzamiento de Satélites de Jiuquan, en la provincia de Gansu, noroeste del país. El despegue se efectuó a las 11:33 hora local de Pekín, desde una zona piloto de innovación aeroespacial comercial. La misión tuvo como objetivo colocar en órbita tres satélites: el Pakistan Remote Sensing Satellite-2 (PRSS-2) y los AIRSAT-03 y AIRSAT-04.

El PRSS-2 constituye el segundo satélite de teledetección óptica de Pakistán, desarrollado en cooperación con la Academia China de Tecnología de Vehículos de Lanzamiento (CALT). Complementará al PRSS-1, lanzado en 2018, y permitirá a Pakistán disponer de imágenes de alta resolución para fines civiles y estratégicos. Su aplicación principal será la observación terrestre, con usos en gestión de recursos naturales, planificación urbana, monitoreo agrícola y mitigación de desastres naturales, además de protección ambiental y control de la deforestación.

Los satélites AIRSAT-03 y AIRSAT-04, fabricados en China, forman parte de un programa comercial de observación terrestre multiespectral desarrollado por la empresa AIRSAT Technology Group. Ambos fueron incluidos como cargas secundarias en la misión y están destinados a ensayos tecnológicos en teledetección y comunicaciones en órbita baja. Se prevé que aporten datos sobre recursos naturales, cobertura vegetal y cambios ambientales, con aplicaciones en agricultura, desarrollo urbano y respuesta ante catástrofes.

El lanzamiento confirma la cooperación estratégica aeroespacial entre China y Pakistán, enmarcada en acuerdos de transferencia tecnológica, formación de personal técnico y expansión de la industria espacial china hacia el mercado internacional de lanzamientos comerciales.
